In otherwise, prevent harm to others and to society as a whole,     IIBI’s aim is create a wider base of knowledge and understanding of the principles and methodologies of Islamic financial services by delivering the highest standards of education, learning and development with the moral underpinnings all disciplines in Islamic banking and insurance (takaful). To also maintain research and publications as well as encourage the exchange of ideas and information that serve the common good of humanity.   .   POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ISLAMIC BANKING AND INSURANCE The Post Graduate Diploma of IIBI is  equivalent to Level 7 of  the National Qualifications Framework of England, Wales and Northern Ireland of the United Kingdom.   The course is aimed at providing a deeper understanding of both Islamic banking and Islamic insurance (takaful) and is intended for graduates. The course discusses the concepts of Islamic finance and prohibitions in-depth and also the application of these concepts in the real world of finance. The prohibitions have broad implications in structuring contracts dealing with financial transactions including investments in line with the rules and processes laid down by the Shari'ah and are equally applicable to contracts of insurance. Students will also develop analytical skills and discuss the causes of failures of financial regulation and policies. The course comprises of 39 lessons structured around eight modules. On completion of the course students will be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Islamic Banking and Insurance by IIBI.   http://www.islamic-banking.com/courses_ibanins.aspx   DIPLOMA IN ISLAMIC BANKING The Diploma in Islamic Banking of IIBI is  equivalent to Level 5 of  the National Qualifications Framework of England, Wales and Northern Ireland of the United Kingdom   The course is aimed mainly at students and professionals who are seeking to have more than a basic understanding of the concepts and operating principles that apply to different types of Islamic banking in comparison to conventional banking. Applying Islamic principles in banking in modern markets poses serious challenges for Islamic banks.The course also provides an overview on Islamic insurance termed as takaful. The course assumes no previous knowledge of banking. Neither does it assume any previous knowledge of Islam. The emphasis is on practical implementation of Islamic finance principles in the real world of finance. The course consists of 23 lessons structured around five modules. The questions at the end of each lesson are designed to test the understanding of the basic concepts and their practical applications which have been explored within the lessons.
