Mr. Sajid Puthenpeedikayil, PhD scholar in the Gulf Studies Programme at Jamia Millia Islamia received the International Best Research Scholar Award at an international conference in Istanbul on 16th May, 2015. The award was presented by Kimse Yok Mu Academic, a Turkey-based academic and philanthropic organisation, for his research paper titled: "Role of Islamic Micro-finance in the Inclusive Growth: A Case Study of Family Bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain." The paper was selected from hundreds of entries received by the organisation from PhD scholars in different parts of the world. The award is comprised an honorary certificate and 1000 US dollars.
