‘Islamic Banking Kashmir’ launches membership drive

‘Islamic Banking Kashmir’, an Awareness, Research and Advocacy group, today organised membership drive in the summer capital, here.
The group held membership drive at its office, here. People from Islamabad (Anantnag), Pulwama, Sopore, Kulgam, Bandipora, Srinagar, Baramulla and Shopian volunteered to be the members.  
On the occasion, a survey was also launched to explore the potential of Islamic finance in the Valley.
The drive commenced under supervision of  the IBK chairman Mehboob Makhdoomi along with Director Operations Yasir Wani and Director R&D Anha Bhat.
Those who registered as members mostly included bankers, lawyers and students. 
To mention, 'Islamic Banking Kashmir’ was launched in January 2016 with an aim to facilitate introduction of Islamic finances in J&K.
The team extended its gratitude to Dr Mubeen Shah, former President, Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) for his “cooperation, goodwill and unconditional support.”

The team also thanked the people of Jammu and Kashmir for “showing active interest in the endeavour aimed to realize the dream of Interest-Free finance option in J&K
